Contact the workshop
How to reach the workshop, what to include with a question about a firing, and what we cannot help with.
Write to [email protected]. There is no contact form and no chat widget on this site, because both of them would mean putting a third-party script on every page just to receive mail.
If your question is about a firing
Include four things and you will get a useful answer:
- Your kiln — make, type (electric, gas, wood), and whether it has a controller or you fire by eye.
- Your clay body — the supplier and the name on the bag, not just "stoneware".
- The cone you fired to, and whether the atmosphere was oxidation or reduction.
- What actually happened, including the surface and where on the piece it appeared.
Response time
The workshop is a working one, so replies are usually within a few days and sometimes much longer when a firing is in progress. If your message needs an answer before then — a kiln that will not climb, a glaze that is boiling in the bucket — say so in the subject line.
What we cannot help with
- Valuing, dating or attributing a pot from photographs.
- Repairing or rewiring a kiln. That is electrical work and it needs someone qualified standing next to the kiln.
- Selling you clay, glaze materials, tools or finished work. The site is not a shop.
- Reviewing a product, or accepting a sponsored post. See the About page.
Copyright and reuse
